Bright and fresh with aromas of nettle and grassy notes. Flavors of guava and pear are balanced with green apple acidity.

WINEMAKING NOTES

The fruit for this Marlborough New Zealand Sauvignon blanc was specially selected from vineyard parcels that are known to give fresh, vibrant and expressive characters such as passionfruit, cut grass and citrus. The fruit is picked and processed in the early hours to retain freshness and crispness. The juice is fermented with a specially selected yeast strain at a cool temperature delivering an explosion of freshness, minerality and length on the palate.

Pairs beautifully with Thai fish cakes, prawns or salads with goat cheese.

WINEMAKING NOTES

Harvested from vineyards situated in the east-west running valleys of the Santa Ynez mountains, the wine benefited from ocean breezes that would bring nightly cool temperatures to offset the warm days of this ideal Chardonnay growing region.The grapes were night-harvested, whole-cluster pressed and fermented at cool temperatures, producing a wine suited to pair with modern California cuisine.

Deep aromas of chocolate, filter-brewed dark-roast coffee and ripe blackberries. A rich mid-palate, chewy tannins and a long finish.

WINEMAKING NOTES

In order to ensure the highest quality fruit, late-ripening clusters were dropped at veraison so that those remaining could ripen uniformly. The grapes were carefully hand-harvested and the berries de-stemmed prior to the 12-day fermentation. Malolactic occurred in barrique, and the wine was racked four times then bottled without fining.

Decadent flavors of ripe cherry and rich chocolate are accented by nuances of vanilla and spice. A delicate acidity integrated with the natural fruitiness of exceptional grapes yield an iconic Merlot of complexity and elegance.

WINEMAKING NOTES

The wines used in this blend underwent fermentation in a cold soak at 82°C for 48 hours then fermented on skins for two weeks. After a treatment of eight months in barrels of mostly second and third fill American and French Oak, it was finished with a light fining prior to bottling.

FOOD PAIRING

Pairs well with hearty seafood such as grilled salmon steaks and tuna. Also enhances flavors in mushroom dishes, stews and pizza.

WINEMAKING NOTES

The fruit for the Magistrate Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon was carefully harvested at peak ripeness to emphasize the fruit-forward style of this wine. Pressing was carried out at the optimal level of dryness to bring forth the mature tannins. Elevage lasted 10 months before bottling.

WINEMAKING NOTES

Since the quality of this wine was primarily shaped in the vineyard, our renowned winemaker kept the winemaking to a minimum and guided rather than formed the wine. The Chardonnay grapes were harvested and pressed directly to tanks where the juice was allowed to clarify naturally. After fermenting in barrels the wine matured on the yeast for several months before racking, filtering and bottling.

WINEMAKING NOTES

The grapes were picked at their peak of ripeness to emphasize the fruit-forward style of the Magistrate Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Pressing was carried out at the perfect level of dryness, in order to allow the mature tannins to express themselves and balance the dark fruit foundation. Elevage in barrel lasted 24 months before bottling.

Enjoy with meats such as dry-aged beef or roast leg of lamb.
